Buddhism teaches that enlightenment is the ultimate state of happiness, offering peace and liberation from suffering. As this day is observed, pray that the light of the gospel would shine on those who follow those teachings. Ask the Lord to open their eyes to see Christ for who He truly is, and to bring them to a genuine understanding of our Savior’s death, burial and resurrection — the only truth that sets us free and offers the hope of eternal life, where joy, peace and true freedom from suffering are found in the King of kings.
