Indigenous Peoples of Peru

The Quechua (pronounced KETCH-whah), the Aymara (pronounced eye-MAHR-uh), and a myriad of other ethnic groups live in the Amazon Basin and Andes Mountains of Peru. Some of these groups have existing churches, and some even have churches that are multiplying, but many of these groups remain in darkness and lack Scripture resources in their heart languages. Some groups worship Mother Earth, some worship spirits and saints, and almost all are animistic at their core. Those individuals who have some knowledge of Jesus often have a distorted view of the truth and still need someone who will share the true message of the gospel with them. Please pray for the salvation of the indigenous peoples of Peru.
