A refugee community that has existed for generations now feels like a small city within a city. The narrow lanes are lined with modest homes, schools are short on basic supplies, and reliable jobs are rare. Because the infrastructure is fragile, daily life is a constant struggle for clean water, food, and security, leaving many families in quiet despair and fearing eviction from the only home they know. Through repeated visits, trust has been built. Believers have been able to offer mental health programs as well as food distribution. Most importantly, these efforts have led to regular home visits. People in this community often break down in tears when asked to tell their story because they believed that no one would listen or care. As they share their stories, the hope of the gospel is also shared with them. Pray for those who’ve heard the good news, asking that they will meditate on it, that God will give them wisdom to wrestle with lingering questions, and that each conversation will deepen their understanding. Ask the Lord to keep the doors to this community open so that ministries, resources, and caring hearts can continue to flow in and many will come to faith.
