Israeli Jews of Israel

The Feast of Tabernacles, known as Sukkot, starts this year on the evening of October 6. Because it’s the day before the infamous and evil rampage of October 7 in 2023, many Israeli Jews have decided to celebrate this year with prayer for the release of the hostages that remain in captivity and to celebrate the appointed time that the Lord wanted to meet with His people. Followers of Jesus will be joining their Jewish friends in their “succa” (booth or hut) to eat and read the story of why they live in a “succa” for one week. It’s a joyous and fun time, and much food is eaten. Some Jesus followers will be putting on an event and inviting people to come together and be a blessing to those who have lost so much. Please pray for the light of the gospel to be very bright that week. Ask the Father to protect the Israeli Jewish people as they commemorate this holiday, and more importantly, ask that they will hear the good news of Jesus and come to salvation.
