(joh-HAHN-is-burg) – For the month of December, many South Africans either travel home to the villages or go on vacation. Johannesburg especially empties out around Christmastime. Please pray for believers who live and work in the city and are now headed out to spend time with unbelieving family and friends. This can be hard, in particular, for college students who want to please their loved ones, but also want to be faithful to Christ. Please pray that they will depend on God daily, exhibit the fruits of the Spirit, and “do all things without grumbling or disputing, that [they] may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom [they] shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:14-15 ESV).
