“Please pray for the Baptist Convention of Malawi as churches from across the country gather near the end of August for their Annual General Meeting,” writes the Malawi Team. “The week will include a two-day pastors’ conference, a one-day women’s ministry conference, and three days of business sessions, fellowship, and discussion. Pray that church leaders will demonstrate biblical integrity, humility, wisdom, and unity as they serve together. Ask that every discussion, decision, and vote will be guided by faithfulness to Scripture and sound doctrine. Pray especially for wisdom regarding any significant matters that will be considered during the meetings. Also pray for safety and endurance for participants throughout Malawi who will be traveling long distances. Ask God to protect them on the roads and grant them good health throughout the week. Finally, pray for two International Mission Board colleagues who will be participating in the pastors’ conference and the general meeting. Ask the Lord to give them wisdom, encouraging fellowship, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships for the advancement of the gospel in Malawi.”
