Aisha married young. Before long, she gave birth to a bright-eyed, curly haired boy. But her husband’s temper started getting worse. When he turned violent, Aisha feared for her life and the life of their son. She left, taking the boy, and returned to her mother. One day, Aisha saw an advertisement online for a free New Testament. She wrote and requested one. Soon afterward, a local believer contacted her, and for the first time, she heard the gospel clearly. When she heard about Jesus’ love and His strength to save, she knew that she wanted to give her life to Him. Over the years, Aisha taught her son about Jesus, taking him to church and praying with him at home. But as her faith grew, so did her mother’s antagonism. What used to be uncomfortable silences grew to be open hostility and mocking. Without higher education to get a good job, and nowhere else to go, Aisha feels trapped. Bullies at school regularly mistreat her son because of his faith, and he has few friends. She worries about his future. Please pray for Aisha and her son to remain strong in their faith, and ask the Lord to provide their needs.
