“Rohan called us this morning and asked us not to come back,” missionary explorers Jude and Rocky Brown shared. When they had shared the gospel with Rohan earlier in February, he joyfully said he wanted to leave Hinduism and make Jesus his Lord. Days later, Rohan hesitated to follow Jesus, afraid that his family would disown him. He said if they believe, he would too. The Browns asked for urgent prayer as they shared with Rohan’s family to surrender to Jesus, no matter the cost. “Rohan spoke with his family, and they did not want to hear the gospel and did not want to him to follow this path either,” the Browns shared. “This is common here, so while it is heartbreaking, it is no surprise. We aren’t clear on our path going forward, but Rohan has heard the good news. God has put it on his heart, and he has a copy of the Bible. So, we are praying for God to continue to work in his heart and that he will surrender. In more encouraging news, we met a pastor today from this people group and learned that there are two baptized believers from them! We cast vision and strategized with them and another pastor to continue ministry among this group that Rohan belongs to. Pray for these churches as they begin this work.”
