“There’s a quote people say here that translates to ‘our guests are like our gods,’ meaning that you should treat your guest the way you would treat a god” missionary explorer Josh Davidson said. “Someone said this to me as they offered me a gesture of hospitality, and it made me uncomfortable, which led to a strong reaction on my part. Please pray for me–I may be experiencing some culture shock. I want to have a heart for God, His people, and those He has not added to His fold yet. And I don’t want the little things to get in the way.”
