Missionary Explorers, Project 3000

Missionary explorer Jacob Simms writes: “We asked a local man about the group we are trying to reach and he said that ‘they don’t use that name. They consider it offensive. This is the name they go by.’ He explained that their name translates to ‘people of great knowledge.’ Yet, these people who consider themselves knowledgeable don’t know the One who really is the greatest. They live in an area controlled by an armed rebel group, and they prohibit nearly all outsiders from coming in, especially Christians. They have no churches or even known believers among them. Pray for a stop to the violence in this area and open doors to share the greatest truth they need to hear, despite the efforts of this rebel group to keep these people in darkness. Pray that these ‘knowledgeable people’ will know not only this life-changing information about Jesus but that they will also personally know the God who loves them and sacrificed Himself to save them.”
