“We drove several hours on a dirt road, continuing our search for a people group,” missionary explorer John Pratt said. “We found a village and met people from a different group that had never heard about Jesus before. And, as far as we were told, no foreigner had ever entered their village. From what we learned, this is the only village where they live. They worship demons and wear jewelry with demon images on them. A family told us their 9-year-old daughter hasn’t been able to walk for the last three years. We shared the gospel with them, then they allowed us to pray in Jesus’ name. As we prayed, the father cried with his hands on his daughter’s legs as he wore his demonic jewelry and started praying, ‘Jesus, please heal her!’ My prayer is the same. Please pray also for this. Her healing could very well be what leads this people to Christ. We have been invited to return to their home again soon, and I hope to walk through their village with this little girl. We traveled several hours each day yesterday and today on dirt roads in the mountains, sharing the gospel. This is the most pressing need.”
