(mon-GOHL-yun) – One of Mongolia’s two major annual holidays, the Naadam Festival, is celebrated each year from July 11–13. Known as the “Three Manly Games,” Naadam features traditional competitions in wrestling, horse racing, and archery. While men and boys participate in all three events, women and girls also compete in archery. Across Mongolia, from rural county seats to provincial capitals, people of all ages take part in the festivities. Naadam is not only a cherished celebration of Mongolian culture and heritage, but it also attracts tourists from around the world who come to experience the excitement and traditions of the festival. Please pray that Mongolian Christians will be bold in sharing their faith during this time of nationwide celebration. Ask God to grant repentance and saving faith to many who hear the gospel. May celebrations of new life in Christ break out all over the country!
