Many Mountain People think that if they can just find a better life for themselves, then everything will be better. They think that if they can get a different job or rent a different house or make more money or move to another country, then all their problems will vanish. What they don’t realize is that they are looking for fulfillment in things that ultimately will not fulfill. They might be able to find a more peaceful place to live or earn a higher salary, but unless they know Jesus, they will never be able to satisfy the longing of their souls. Please pray for the Mountain People. Many of them experience daily violence and unrest, and some do not know how they will be able to feed their children, but the most important need of all is the need for a Savior. Pray that God will provide for their physical needs. But above all, pray that they will be able to hear and receive the gospel. Ask that through Jesus, they will find hope and fulfillment that surpasses all human understanding.
