When Sara’s son Said was arrested and put in jail, it just about destroyed her. As a Muslim-background believer, she had already walked through intense persecution and harassment from family and friends. Seeing her child accused of a crime he did not commit was almost too much to bear. Said had previously been asking questions about his mother’s faith and occasionally attended the youth group at a local church. But he had also gotten involved with the wrong kind of people in his neighborhood, leading to his arrest. In prison, feeling alone, he found his way to the prison ministry’s Bible classes and finally gave his heart to Jesus. Please pray for Said, as he recently received bail and will be out of prison soon. He cannot go home, as the gangsters he was involved with are waiting to kill him. Pray that Sara and Said will be able to find a place to stay far away from those violent people. Pray that Said will continue walking with the Lord and growing in Christ.
