Muslims of Tamil Nadu, India

(TAH-mil NAH-doo) – People in Tamil Nadu, India, observe two calendars: the traditional solar calendar and the Tamil lunar calendar. April 14 is celebrated this year as the Tamil New Year and recognizes the balance of people and nature. Tamilians eat special meals together, shops advertise sales, and schools take the day off. Pray for Tamilians this year to examine their hearts and lives, see their need for a Savior who pursues them, and submit their lives to Jesus.
