Miscarriages. A husband struggling with depression. Unaffordable housing. Unemployment. These are some of the pressing, tangible issues going on in Faiza’s life. However, she also has a deeper problem: facing these issues without the hope of Christ. Raised in a religious North African family, she has been taught many reasons to argue against Christianity, but she also does not currently find any hope in her own religion. Pray for Faiza, asking that God will miraculously move in her heart and open her eyes to her need for a Savior. Pray that this verse will be true of her: “Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, . . . having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:12-13 ESV).
