Several years ago, some believers frequented Marta’s shop, shared the gospel with her, and even got invited to her home. Six years later, some other believers have gone into her shop, not knowing about her knowledge of Jesus, and shared even more with her. Marta has been receptive and has asked a lot of questions but isn’t ready to follow Jesus. She knows the religious holidays of her traditional religion are unfruitful and empty. She doesn’t see God blessing families who buy sheep for a sacrifice when they can barely make ends meet. Marta has been given a Bible in Arabic and wants to study it. The believers have invited her to their home and have offered to study with her in her shop before working hours, but Marta hasn’t made any movement forward. In fact, during a recent visit, she told them that she was struggling with depression and had more doubts about following Jesus. Please pray for Marta to see that Jesus is the true Lamb of God and that He takes all our burdens from us. He says in Matthew 11:28 (ESV): “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
