North Africans in Sun City, Europe

A group of believers went to pray in a heavily immigrant-populated area of Sun City. They were focused on praying for North African peoples. The believers saw all types of people and places and were surprised to find several hookah lounges in that area. Hookah, or flavored tobacco water pipe, is a social ritual, and the lounges are a place, usually for men, to connect with others. These lounges often have dark windows, allowing the people within to “hide” from the outside world and from the judgment of others. Hebrews 4:13 (NASB) says that “there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.” God knows and sees all people, even the men “hiding” in the hookah lounges, and desires for them to be reconciled to Him through salvation in Jesus. Ask God to use creative avenues and local believers to reach these men with the gospel so they can have an encounter with Jesus and find new ways to connect with one another.
