Emma’s North African friend, Laticia, has been a believer for a long time. Emma was introduced to her by some believers who used to live in Sun City. Laticia has been in contact with Emma off and on for the past few years, but recently, the two reconnected. Knowing that Laticia isn’t involved in a local church and isn’t being discipled, Emma invited her to a Bible study she has with her church. Laticia told Emma that she still hasn’t been baptized and that she even fasted earlier this year during the Islamic month of Ramadan. Not continually being with a body of believers makes it hard for Laticia to know what practices from her culture and former religion she should or shouldn’t be doing. Emma is keeping in touch with Laticia much more these days and asked her, apart from the church Bible study, if she’d like to do some discipleship with her at Emma’s house. Laticia agreed and has plans to meet with Emma soon. Please pray for Laticia, asking that she will truly “put off [her] old self” and “put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24 ESV).
