As they chat and watch their children play at the playground, Tamara explains to her friend that she notices people being drawn to her because of her joy in Christ. She explains that despite her parents’ Muslim faith and her descendance from a predominantly Muslim country, she is not afraid to share her faith in Jesus with others. Other women are often surprised that she does not wear a “hijab” (a Muslim head covering for women). Tamara lives in Europe and is married to a European man, but she still feels deep ties to her home culture. She is unique in that she lives in two cultures but does not fully fit in in either of them, even more so because of her Christian faith. There are not many others like her. Praise the Lord for the work He has done in Tamara’s life and will continue to do! Please pray for Tamara to continue to find joy in the Lord, grow in her faith, and walk in boldness. Pray for her parents and extended family members to have soft hearts to the gospel despite being resistant in the past.
