For the past nine months, you have prayed for Miriam during her faith journey. She first talked to her believing neighbor about her beliefs. Then, she began reading the Bible that her friend gave her. Miriam, her neighbor, and another believing friend have met to discuss important Bible truths whenever their schedules permit. Miriam has had many dreams in which Jesus spoke to her and invited her to follow Him. Recently, the three friends discussed baptism as they studied Acts 2:37-41. Miriam said that she had dreamed about being baptized. She told her friends that she has decided to follow Jesus and that she wants to be baptized, but she is concerned about telling her elderly mother, a conservative Muslim, about her decision. Miriam is afraid that her mother will be “crushed” by the news. Pray that Miriam will courageously follow Jesus and be baptized. Pray that the Holy Spirit will use her faithfulness as a testimony to her mother and other family members so that her entire household will be saved. Pray for Miriam to continue to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18 ESV).
