Fatiha, a North African woman, is deeply devoted to her faith and has long believed that Islam is the only true path. Her father is an imam (religious leader) and taught her Islam from a young age. After receiving an invitation from a believer, she began attending a local church discussion group that compares the Bible and the Quran. At first, Fatiha approached the meetings with skepticism. She believed that the Bible had been altered and felt a strong need to defend her faith. However, after the second meeting, a notable change occurred in her attitude. Rather than focusing on defending her beliefs, she began listening attentively to the biblical text. Now, she even challenges ideas that are contrary to the passages being studied. As the group analyzes both the differences and similarities between the Bible and the Quran, Fatiha’s interest in reading the Bible has continued to grow. Pray that her faith in the Bible will increase as she reads Scripture. Ask God to open her spiritual eyes to see and believe in the true Jesus. Pray that Fatiha will receive forgiveness of sins and an “inheritance among all those who are sanctified” (Acts 20:32 ESV) by faith in Jesus.
