A group of women, covered from head to toe in black, often gather with their children in a local park. One day, a small child approached them, waving hello, but the women were unresponsive. Emily, the mother of that little boy, followed him and offered some friendly greetings, but was ignored. Later, the covered women left the park, all except one, who remained with her children. Emily began a conversation with her, and she introduced herself. Polite conversation began, and smiles were shared between the two mothers as they saw their children playing soccer together. Pray for women, especially those with children at playgrounds and parks, to be open to interacting with other mothers. Ask the Father to provide “divine encounters” and use children as a connector and bridge to Jesus and the gospel. Pray for Scripture to be boldly spoken in these conversations and encounters, as the Bible states in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV): “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” Pray that Emily’s community will yearn for Christ and His truth.
