The Afitti people live in the country of Sudan. In the early part of the 20th century, they settled in the central plains in search of grazing land for their cattle. This move resulted in the establishment of the towns of Sidra, Kitra, and Kundukur. As children, the Afitti people traditionally learned to speak the tonal Afitti language, but today, many can communicate in Sudanese Arabic. Due to the influence of Arabs around them, most of the population are Sunni Muslims. Pray for the Afitti people to hunger to know God and to encounter the gospel. Pray for them to meet believers who will reach out to them with God’s love. Living in a country that is undergoing great conflict, pray for the Afitti people to find peace in Christ.
