Northern African and Middle Eastern Unengaged Peoples

The Harasi of Oman are a Muslim people group who live in the central desert of Oman. Their native tongue is Harsusi, but many also are Arabic speakers. They are a proud and independent people who traditionally relied on camel and goat herding for their livelihood. That is still true, but some men now work in the armed forces or in other jobs in the cities and come home periodically. Also, children are going to Arabic-language schools in the area. The Scriptures are available in Arabic. Pray that these people will hear about the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for His sheep and other pastoral examples in the Scriptures that they can easily understand, since those are part of their livelihood. Pray that oral Bible stories will be made available for them in Harsusi or that those among them who know Arabic will translate the truth to their relatives. Pray that God will move among the Harasi of Oman!
