The Saaronge people live in eastern Chad around the town of Mongo. Their heart language is Dar Daju Daju. This is spoken in Saaronge villages and in the countryside, while the Saaronge who live in towns may also speak Chadian Arabic. Scripture translations are available in both languages. The Saaronge people claim to be Muslims. They follow the beliefs of Sunni Islam along with some animistic practices from their ancestral traditions. Pray for this population of 91,000 people to hear the truth of the gospel and Bible stories in Dar Daju Daju or Chadian Arabic. May they understand God’s deep love for them. Pray for them to find their hope and peace in God. “How precious is your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings” (Psalm 36:7 ESV).
