Northern African and Middle Eastern Unengaged Peoples

The Chaldeans of Syria are an Assyrian people from the ancient eastern Christian background, and their native tongue is called Chaldean Neo-Aramaic. Today, they would be aligned with Chaldean Catholic churches, but ethnic roots are more important to many of them than religion. There are about 11,500 Chaldeans in Syria, and they have felt the effects of the trauma of war that their country has suffered from since 2010. Pray for Chaldeans of Syria who are struggling economically, and ask that their needs will be met. Pray for those who are traumatized, asking that God will heal them. Pray that they will read the Bible, to which they have access. Even though family background is to be honored, pray that they will realize that their biblical history is even more important for eternity. Ask that they will accept Jesus as Savior and Lord and that they will share Him with their unbelieving neighbors and friends.
