Northern African and Middle Eastern Unengaged Peoples

The Ghomara Imazighen of northern Morocco are a distinct Amazigh (Berber) community with deep cultural roots and strong religious traditions. Most have never had a clear opportunity to hear the gospel in a way that is understandable, relational, and free from fear or pressure. Pray that God will prepare hearts among the Ghomara Imazighen to seek truth, ask questions, and encounter Christ as Savior and Lord. As they come out of their villages and into the cities, pray that they will encounter believers and have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel. Ask the Holy Spirit to move powerfully among them through dreams, Scripture, friendships, and faithful witnesses so that men and women will come to know Jesus personally. Pray specifically that God will build His Church among the Ghomara Imazighen. Ask the Lord to raise up local believers who can shepherd, teach, and disciple others within their own communities. May God’s kingdom come and His glory be made known among the Ghomara Imazighen. “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6 ESV).
