In Buddhism, becoming a monk or a nun is regarded as a very honorable lifestyle, and they are often the spiritual leaders of their communities. Many women of the Outer Rim have left their families’ villages in order to become nuns. The life of a Buddhist nun is very strict. Each moment of their day is planned, from early morning mediations to late night debates. They have very little free time. Recently, a team from the U.S. had the opportunity to share the gospel with many Buddhist nuns. Two of these nuns expressed an interest in the gospel and wanted to learn more. They recently received the Bible in their heart language. Please pray that these two nuns will read the Bible and, through that, come to know Jesus and choose to follow Him.
