(PEH-dee) – Syncretism, the combination of traditional beliefs and Christian beliefs, is a huge problem in African churches. Pray for the spiritual health of the few Pedi churches in South Africa. May they love one another, hold fast to the Word of Truth, use their spiritual gifts to build one another up to maturity, and be a shining light to their community by sharing the good news with them. Pray that God will send Pedi Christians out among all the villages and towns to share the gospel and start new churches. Pray that there will “no longer [be] any room for work in these regions” (Romans 15:23 ESV) because there’s no place left among the Pedi where the gospel has not been heard.
