People of Southeast Korea

Silla, the kingdom that ruled in Southeast Korea for nearly a thousand years, originated in the Southeast region. The area is known for its mountains, World Heritage Sites, national parks, and stunning islands. This part of South Korea is home to 11.9 million people and includes the second-largest city in the country, Busan. It is the birthplace of seven Korean presidents, and this has led to a concentration of wealth and power, making it the most populous and industrialized region outside of greater Seoul. However, these areas are the least evangelized in South Korea, with a rate of less than 10%. With a recent increase of foreigners, the region is multi-religious, with strong influences from Buddhism, Confucianism, Shamanism, and other faiths. It was also known as the Golden Kingdom, which is based on Buddhism. Now is the time to bring this region and the people into God’s everlasting kingdom through our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray for the salvation of the people of Southeast Korea.
