Toufik, a young man from a small town in the countryside, became a follower of Jesus after meeting some believers while playing basketball. A couple of months ago, two believers traveled to Toufik’s hometown to begin teaching him more about God and His Word. The time was incredibly encouraging, as there was a sweet connection between Toufik and the other believers. Toufik expressed a desire to be baptized and to grow in his relationship with the Lord. Last month, Toufik visited the city where the other believers live and met a few more believers, as well. Toufik’s story was an encouragement to the others’ faith. They spent the morning together studying the Bible, seeking to better understand who God is as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They also studied what the Bible has to say about baptism and the meaning of baptism for a new believer. Pray for Toufik’s faith, as he doesn’t know any other believers within a two-hour radius of his home. Ask the Father to continually give Toufik confidence in the only One who can truly save. Also pray for the other believers who are discipling him and planning for him to be baptized within the next month.
