Sahar, who’s from a rural village, met a believer several years ago when she moved to a city to attend a university. She was very scared and alone in her new city. Sahar and her believing friend visited Sahar’s family in their village and have spent time together occasionally since then. After Sahar graduated from the university, she took a job teaching at a private school, but she is very dissatisfied with her current work situation. Sahar only reaches out to her believing friend from time to time when she needs something. Recently, she called to say that she needed to go to the hospital and didn’t have anyone to take her. Her friend took her there and tried to show her Christ’s love. Soon after that, Sahar reached out, saying that she was depressed and asking if they could hang out sometime. She has not shown much interest in the gospel when she has heard it, but she needs a friend. Ask the Lord to be at work in Sahar’s heart and to open her eyes to His love for her. Pray for her friend to have wisdom in knowing how to love her well and discernment regarding Sahar’s motivations.
