(car-NAH-tuh-kuh) – Many months ago, while a visiting group of believing university students were in town, they met a young Muslim woman named Shay at the local market and were able to connect her with some believers. Over the past couple of months, Shay has been meeting with the believers to read the Bible and discuss spiritual matters. She was given a Bible in Urdu, her heart language, and during every meeting, she brings it to read along as she listens to a new story. After hearing the Creation story and the Fall from Genesis, at the last meeting, they read Isaiah 53 together. The believers boldly proclaimed that this man, well acquainted with suffering, is Jesus, and it is His wounds that will heal us. Please pray that Shay will continue to meet and read the Bible. Ask God to send her dreams and visions about Jesus and the cross. Pray that she will call upon the name of Jesus to be saved from sin. “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5 ESV).
