(car-NAH-tuh-kuh) – “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12 ESV). Young local believers are joining the ranks of those involved in disciple making and leadership, with hearts ready to serve and be used by God for His kingdom purposes! With these youth typically come passion, humility, and teachability. But often there are many challenges, as well, as they continue to grow in Christlike character and in their understanding of the Word. Pray for Sam, Arun, Preethi, Shoba, and other young adults like them who are hungry for a deeper walk with the Lord and desire to be sent out by Him to work for His purposes. Pray 1 Timothy 4:12 over them, asking that they will be examples in the way they communicate, in their behavior and walk, in their love and care for others, in their faith in Jesus, and in their pursuit of holiness. Ask the Father to protect them from the attack of the evil one through various schemes, whether that be creating divisiveness, disunity, and miscommunication from within, or distractions and trials from outside.
