(car-NAH-tuh-kuh) – In February, four believers traveled to the Western Ghats, searching for a very small unengaged, unreached people group in that mountain range called the Ayri. Consisting of only 225 people, the believers knew that only God would be able to guide them to this small community. Keeping their focus on this group, they asked different shopkeepers about communities in the area, especially the Ayri. In one coffeeshop, the manager was able to tell them about one village in which they lived but didn’t know the name of the village. After searching for articles about this community, the believers came across another name for this group and a temple they worship at. The next day, they headed to this temple in the middle of nowhere and were able to talk with three people from this small community! When they asked one man if there were any Christians among the Ayri, he emphatically said, “No, 100% Hindu.” Give thanks to God for leading these believers to the Ayri people! Pray that local believers in the surrounding area will be burdened for the Ayri and befriend them, sharing the truth with them so that many will believe and follow Jesus.
