(car-NAH-tuh-kuh) – Believers are commanded to “go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19 ESV). As the lost are found, it’s crucial that mature believers come alongside them to disciple them in the Word. In the Lower Plains, discipling young believers and training them up to be ambassadors for Christ takes patience and intentionality. Please pray for the discipleship groups that are currently meeting. There’s a small gathering of young women who have newly formed a discipleship group. Anne, a local sister in Christ, co-leads this small gathering. Please pray for each participant by name: Priscilla, Polly, Maria, and Glory. Pray that they will continue to come with eagerness to learn and carry the good news to their own harvest fields. Each believer has a role and a responsibility to carry out the Great Commission; discipleship is as great a priority as evangelizing. Paul wrote: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth” (1 Corinthians 3:6-7 ESV). Pray that discipleship groups across the Lower Plains will remain grounded in the truth, knowing that it is God alone who grows and matures His followers.
