It seems like everywhere an Afghan turns, doors for them to leave Afghanistan are closed. All the surrounding countries are deporting Afghans back across the border, and the Western countries are denying them access. Stan has been diagnosed with cancer, and the only place close by where he can receive chemotherapy is Pakistan — or was. That country has now closed the border, refusing entry even for medical treatment. All doors for Stan are shut, and now he can only wait until something opens. Pray that he will be granted access to travel to Pakistan for his chemotherapy. As he is seeking an open door, pray that he will hear Jesus’ knock and open his heart and give his life to the Creator and Savior of the world. “And be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks” (Luke 12:36 ESV).
