(beng-AHL) – There are two churches that have asked Ben and Tina, a couple of mature believers, to come and teach them about the gospel; however, the pastor of those churches, who lives in a big city, refuses to allow the teaching unless he receives a financial reward. These congregations are starving for want of teaching and haven’t celebrated the Lord’s Supper in over a year. This is common in the area. Most pastors have their main church in a city and start “fellowships” in the hard-to-reach places that they do not visit often or teach at regularly but still regulate what the fellowships can and cannot do. Pray for wisdom for Ben and Tina as they try to navigate these tricky situations even among believers. Pray for the pastors to be open and receptive to this teaching in their fellowships. Pray that these people will be excited to learn and even more excited to proclaim the Good News to their neighbors.
