(JAHR-kuhnd) – In the hot plains of northwestern Jharkhand, the earthy scent of incense offered to idols and the piercing sound of temple bells fill the air as Hindus worship their many gods. Give thanks to the living God that from out of the midst of this environment, five Hindu families recently put their faith in Jesus and were baptized! Pray for the ongoing discipleship of these new believers as they lay aside the old ways of idol worship and the things of the world to follow Jesus. Ask that they will meet together regularly for fellowship, identify leaders, and, as a church, be a light in their community. Pray that God will use these families to bring the gospel to this very unreached area.
