(JAHR-kuhnd) – In order to reach the 33 million-plus lost people of Jharkhand, multiplication of churches is necessary. Layers of traditionalism, along with expectations of what a good church should look like based on online videos, have created a barrier to the multiplication of leaders. “There aren’t enough talented preachers” is a common excuse that leaders give for not passing on authority and planting new churches. Pray that local leaders will understand the need to adopt simple, reproducible models of a healthy church so that the church can expand more quickly and multiply. Ask that they will put their dependence on the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God rather than on the eloquence or “talent” of man to lead a church. Pray that God will raise up humble, kingdom-minded, spirit-filled leaders for His churches.
