(mah-huh-RAHSH-truh) – Pray for Shiny, a woman who started attending church for the first time in her life around three months ago when her believing co-worker, Ann, invited her to church. Shiny’s husband is an alcoholic and is emotionally and verbally abusive to her and her son. Ann and another sister in Christ started a Bible study with her, and Shiny’s interest in God has been increasing to the point that she recently refused to worship the idols that she has always worshiped her whole life. However, at the same time that she is coming closer to faith, the evil one is trying to keep her from growing. Recently, her older brother, who is like a father figure to her, but who got involved in black magic and now might be demon-possessed, went missing. Pray for Shiny’s brother to be found and healed. Pray for Shiny as she fights grief and confusion, and ask that Christ will become her solid Rock and that she will fully place all her faith in Him!
