(mah-huh-RAHSH-truh) – Please pray for the believers in the Indian state of Maharashtra as they walk through a season of intensifying persecution in many cities. Some face pressure from authorities or political groups, others from their families or communities. Pray that believers all over Maharashtra will abide deeply and fix their eyes on Jesus, saying with Paul that they are “afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 ESV).
