A church in the United States has been ministering to the Harvester People within the Jola people group for 12 years. There have been many in the village who have accepted Christ and who have been baptized. There are few jobs in the village, so many believers move away to seek work to support their families. As a result, the church is not growing numerically. Believers are often persecuted and rejected for following Christ instead of participating in animistic practices. Please pray that believers will be strong in their faith despite the small number of those who gather to worship.
