Pray for Isaiah, a seminary student on one of the Indian Ocean Islands. He has pastored a church for about 10 years, and the church has been gathering in his family’s home. They are now pursuing another property where the church can meet. Pray for this congregation as they venture out in this way. It will facilitate a shared sense of responsibility for the gathering of the saints and move the sense of ownership wider than the pastor and his family. This is a great step forward for this congregation. The church has faced resistance, as the work is being undertaken in a Hindu community. Already the community has refused to allow them to occupy this new space. This amounted to a rejection of the church and the ministry they have been conducting for more than 10 years in that same community. Pray for the pastor and church as they navigate this rejection by the people they have loved and served for so long.
