Peoples of the Konkan Coast, India

(KAHN-kin) – Recently, a local family of believers were invited to teach a church in a new area how to share the gospel. During this training, they met a Gauli pastor. It is believed that there are around 17,000 Marathi-speaking Gauli people living along the Konkan Coast, and this people group is currently considered to be unengaged and unreached with the gospel. After the pastor attended the training, he wept, sharing how desperately he wanted his own Gauli people to know the Lord! He was thankful that he now had the tools needed to share the gospel with them. Pray for there to be a gospel movement among the Gauli people that sees people believe and be discipled and churches planted, and pray that it will be spread to many other unengaged, unreached people groups who don’t know the name of Jesus!
