The Shan State Province in Myanmar is home to dozens of people groups who have never heard the gospel. They each speak their own languages and are buried deep in the jungles of the remote mountain regions of eastern Myanmar. Many of these people groups are nonliterate, have no contact with others, and refuse to send their children to school or to visit the doctor. They nominally worship Buddha but are truly enslaved to the spirits all around them. Local missionaries from other indigenous groups are currently being raised up, trained, and sent to these far-flung villages. Those who are hearing the gospel for the first time are hungry for hope. Please pray for the salvation of the peoples of the Shan State province.
