This is because you are not reading a Bible in your heart language, but in a closely related sister language. Your pastor knows both languages, and he translates the unknown words for you as he preaches and teaches. When you study this Bible at home, you have to look up the words you don’t know so you can understand what you are reading. This is the situation for many Persian people in Canada. This month, please pray for the work of Bible translators around the world, and ask God to bless and equip them for their great task. Pray specifically for an updated translation in this specific Persian dialect so that these Persians will be able to read and understand the Word in their own heart language and freely grow in the Lord as they study His Word.
