(ru-ME-lee-an) – “A God-fearing woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, was listening. The Lord opened her heart to respond to what Paul was saying” (Acts 16:14 CSB). As God’s Word is proclaimed among the Rumelian Turks of the Balkans, pray that God will open the hearts of God-fearing Rumelian Turks to respond to the salvation message. Pray that they will see Jesus as the fulfilment of their hopes and prayers. May they discover the joy of knowing not a distant, transcendent God, but Immanuel–God with us!
