Sapporo, Japan

(suh-POHR-oh) – “Easter in Japan is only celebrated by Christian churches but every Japanese experiences change and new schedules this month as they enter a new school or work year. Even Sapporo team members are experiencing these changes as their children move up a grade in school or enter a new elementary school or kindergarten. Our prayer lists include new opportunities to meet with Japanese individuals as well as praying for those still in full-time language study who will have new teachers. Churches are writing new events on their church calendars, and members are facing changes as they move for work or study. Pray for peace during these days of change. Pray that God would give a new joy with the many chances to make new friendships and relationships. Pray for churches to offer a place of steadfastness in a world of change, a place where our God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Ask the Father to comfort hearts as change might bring separation from friends and families. Pray for believers who are moving to new cities to be led to churches for continued strengthening of their faith and finding a new community of Christ-followers.”
