(suh-POHR-oh) – A Japanese family has had contact with missionaries on the Sapporo team for many years. The husband and wife have each had experiences going to churches and meeting other missionaries over the years, but as they have begun their retirement years, they have found it difficult to have meaningful conversations with some of these people they have known for so long. God orchestrated opportunities for the wife to tutor two young missionary women in the Japanese language, and the husband offered his time to a young missionary man as a Japanese conversation helper. Each of these missionaries needed to learn how to do Bible studies in Japanese and asked for help from this Japanese couple. As God has worked in their hearts, they are now asking questions about what they are hearing and reading in the Bible. Pray that they will be open to having a time to just read the Word together and to continue to share their questions and doubts with these Sapporo team members!
