(suh-POHR-oh) – Sapporo Team members have been praying for churches to partner with in ministry since they first returned to the island of Hokkaido in 2022. Team members attend churches while they are learning language and then discern which churches to partner deeply with after returning from a time in the states. Now all members are back in the city, and God is opening doors to new churches that are expressing interest in partnering with missionaries. Two units have joined with new churches, and other team members are either staying where they were or are still seeking the Lord’s direction. One church is renovating their worship facility for the next four months. They are partnering with team members to engage children weekly, to share a message during worship time, and to look ahead to the next 25 years with a new vision. The other church is partnering with team members to reach out to students and young families, sharing a desire to help a new church be planted in another nearby city with missionary help. Pray for continued partnerships with churches and for God to direct each team member to the right church and pastors to work with.
