Last month was an interesting time for the Shia of the desert. While the other countries nearby were experiencing missile and drone strikes that were mostly intercepted, their country was not. There were a few hits but nothing severe. However, some were grieving over the death of the Ayatollah, who was a leader for the Shia Muslims. Others were just going on with life like nothing was happening. There were believers in the region whose governments told them to shelter in place, which meant that they could not be with their Shia friends. The whole situation put a damper on Ramadan celebrations. This month is Easter! Pray that as things get back to normal and friends gather, conversations will turn to Jesus and why Easter is celebrated. Pray that these dear Shia will understand the great sacrifice of Jesus through the shedding of His blood and death on the cross. Ask that they will grasp His power through His resurrection from the dead. Jesus paid it all! There is no need for their good works; they only need to receive this gift!
